Territorial Capital Era Study Survey

The City of Golden, founded in 1859, was the Territorial Capital of Colorado from 1862 to 1867 before relocating to Denver. The Historic Preservation Board identified 31 structures throughout Golden that were built prior to 1868 and were important to the City’s status as the Territorial Capital or present during that time. This survey will help determine the Historic Preservation Board’s next steps in how to highlight this notable time in Golden’s History.
