Howdy Downtown!
Consultation has concluded
City staff is embarking on a series of planning efforts throughout Downtown Golden to help enhance the experience for residents, businesses and visitors. All of these projects are interconnected and will create a lasting impact individually and collaboratively. The public engagement process will reflect these connections and ensure the community is actively involved during the anticipated 14-month planning process.
- Bike and Pedestrian Master Plan
- Downtown Parking Study
- Seasonal Outdoor Business Program
- Miners Alley Activation Study (2023 Q3)
- Washington Avenue Closure Study (2023 Q3)
This page connects you to each project on Guiding Golden, and highlights key public engagement opportunities. Not all projects are up and running yet, but once active, the individual project pages will include detailed information, schedules and public engagement tools.
Current Public Engagement Opportunities
- City Council Study Session: City staff will present proposed changes for the 2023 Seasonal Outdoor Business Program permit season and the Bicycle and Pedestrian Master Plan at the February 14 City Council meeting. The meeting begins at 5pm (new time for study sessions) in Council Chambers, 911 10th Street.
- City staff have created a Follow-up Downtown Parking Public Survey based on the initial feedback we received. This survey is shorter and more concise. You do NOT need to have completed the original survey to complete this one.
- Downtown Parking Study General Survey: The survey is now open for residents, visitors, business owners and employees and all who park in Downtown Golden.
- Downtown Parking Study Employee Survey: This survey is focused on employees who work in Downtown Golden.
- Bicycle and Pedestrian Plan Policy and Program Survey: Share your thoughts on the draft vision statement, goals and objectives, evaluation metrics and major policy and program recommendations.
