Vendor Selected and Contract Signed!

August 16, 2023

Following a rigorous RFP selection process, we're excited to announce that the City of Golden has selected Revize, a company specializing in government website solutions, to partner with us in our website redesign process.

We received many strong proposals so the selection process was not easy. The Revize proposal showed a breadth of experience and a thorough understanding of the unique challenges faced in building and maintaining a municipal website. The follow-up demo and discussions continued to impress our Website Redesign Workgroup with thoughtful responses, a willingness to customize and adapt their CMS to our needs, and an ability to address every challenge we proposed.

We are eager to move forward and begin the process of evaluating our current website with the expert guidance of the Revize design team, and make a plan for a redesigned website we're certain our community will be proud to call theirs.

RFP Process

May 22, 2023

The City of Golden issued a RFP (Request for Proposals) to find a vendor to partner with on our website redesign. The RFP opened on April 14, 2023 and closed on May 12, 2023. We received 33 proposals from vendors across the US and Canada!

Staff is working to narrow the field to a smaller field of candidate finalists. A Website Redesign Workgroup composed of staff members from various city departments will participate in interviews and demos from each finalist to learn more and make an informed decision.

Background

The City of Golden municipal website engages approximately 800,000 visitors every year and is a vital service and information tool for our community. The current website was designed in 2015, but the needs of our community have evolved. It's time for a make-over!

In 2023, www.cityofgolden.net will go through a complete redesign process. This will include issuing an RFP and selecting outside consultants to help us build the new website.

Thanks to everyone who took the website redesign survey! Your feedback is appreciated.

We had 66 survey submissions. See the survey results here.

Please stay tuned for more information as our website redesign process moves forward.
