Project Update

We are excited to share final design images of the new playground structure, color scheme, and materials!

Work on the project is expected to begin later this spring, with completion and a grand opening celebration around June of 2025. Playground and trail closures and detours through the park will be required and signage will be posted.


Project Background

The City of Golden is updating the playground at Heritage Dells Park with all new equipment. The current playground was installed in 1997 and has surpassed its life expectancy of 20 years. A new playground will provide improved recreational, developmental, and accessible opportunities, along with industry standard safety surfacing, for children across a wide range of ages and abilities.
